Audience Measurement Firm Tru Optik Raises Funds
In the US, cookie-less audience measurement specialist Tru Optik has closed a $1.7m round of venture financing, which it will use to help scale its business.
Founded in 2013, Stamford, CT-based Tru Optik taps into census-level proprietary data of cookie-less digital media consumption and uses interest and behavior segmentation to offer digital audience measurement and ad targeting solutions for media and other clients. The new funding was led by Progress Ventures and angel investor and former AOL exec Alex Blum, who becomes Chairman of Tru Optik's Board of Directors.
CEO and co-founder Andre Swanston (pictured) comments: 'This financing allows us to meet the explosive demand for Tru Optik's audience measurement and targeting solutions. Over the past two years we have developed relationships with some of the world's largest media companies and advertisers and we are prepared to continue on our path to being the leader in over-the-top audience acquisition and content monetization'.
