Ebiquity Names New CEO

UK-based media and marketing insights firm Ebiquity is appointing Razorfish exec Michael Karg as Group Chief Executive Officer from next year, when he will replace Michael Greenlees who is stepping down from the role after eight years with the business.

Michael KargFounded in 1997 as Thomson Intermedia, Ebiquity comprises an Analytics division, offering media buying measurement and benchmarking, and performance measurement; and a 'Platform' division which provides media monitoring products. Last fiscal year, the firm reported an 11% increase in revenue to £76.3m.

Karg (pictured) will join after a fifteen year career with Publicis Groupe agencies Razorfish and Digitas. He has worked at digital marketing technology specialist Razorfish, since 2010 and has served as the firm's CEO International since 2013. In this role, he manages around 1,100 employees in fifteen offices across eight countries, and during his time with the group, he has driven growth and development across Europe, India, China, South East Asia, Australia and Brazil.

Greenlees will step down when Karg joins in early January. Earlier in his career, he co-founded ad agency Gold Greenlees Trott, where he worked for seventeen years, before the business was taken over by Omnicom in 1998, after which, Greenlees continued as President & CEO of the group's ad network TBWA Worldwide.
