Community Specialist GutCheck Gets $12m
Denver, CO-based on-demand online community specialist GutCheck has closed $12m in Series D funding, almost doubling its investment to date, and says it will accelerate its growth to meet 'high demand in the agile market research space'.
Piper Jaffray Merchant Banking led the investment, with participation from other existing backers. In addition to more investment in research, products, and engineering GutCheck has made two senior hires, following the recent appointment of Chief Commercial Officer Michael Gear with that of former Kantar CRO Renee Smith as Chief Research Officer earlier this month.
CEO Matt Warta (pictured) says the firm has grown as a result of its 'leadership in agile market research', and is 'not standing still' as clients demand new products and solutions. Growth is especially notable in technology, financial services and healthcare, and the firm says it will announce more new strategic initiatives in the near future.
