Kansas Hub for Canadian Data Collection Firm Logit
Toronto, Canada-based data collection agency The Logit Group is to open a 100-seat call center in Wichita, Kansas, which it says should become the hub of its US operations.
The firm, whose work includes telephone fieldwork, online product surveys and taste tests in shopping malls, first established a US presence 18 months ago when it appointed industry veteran Marcus Turner as US Vice President, based in Portland, Oregon.
Company President Sam Pisani, quoted on www.kansas.com , says he wants the new center to open in January, and will initially look to recruit between 100 and 200 full- and part-time employees. As and when the site becomes the firm's US hub, programmers, account managers, project managers and data analysts will follow - but before any of that, Logit still has to choose between locations including the former Circuit City space at 8405 E. Kellogg and another site downtown.
The firm has 40 exec staff in its Toronto headquarters, alongside an existing 100-seat call center, plus two sites in Montreal and ten programmers based in India. Its home page is at www.logitgroup.com .
