Santa Cruz, California-based SaaS business intelligence platform Looker has opened an EMEA headquarters in London, to support client demand for its solutions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Founded in 2011 by former Netscape Principal Engineer Lloyd Tabb, Looker provides a business intelligence platform with a proprietary data description language called LookML, allowing analysts or anyone in an organization to create and curate custom data. Earlier this year, the firm raised $30m in a Series B round of expansion financing.
The company employs more than 165 people at its offices in Santa Cruz, San Francisco, New York and now at Great Suffolk Street in London.
Frank Bien (pictured), Looker CEO, explains: 'Our investment in establishing a UK operation will allow us to acquire more customers and expand our team across EMEA. Companies are looking for new ways to transform their businesses using data and analytics to get the insights they need to make the best decisions. Data analytics is the future of everything'.
