Heart+Mind Hires Maury Giles to Lead New Practice
Washington, DC-based research and consulting company Heart+Mind Strategies has hired former Ipsos exec Maury Giles to establish a practice focused on system and decision mapping solutions for informing brand development.
Heart+Mind was founded in 2010 by former leaders of Wirthlin Worldwide, and opened a center named after its founder Richard B. Wirthlin later that year.
Giles (pictured) joins after a twenty-year career spanning journalism, political polling, market research, branding, marketing ROI and simulation, strategic communications planning, and system mapping. Most recently, he founded and led an insights-based brand and marketing advisory unit at Ipsos called Strategy3, launched after Ipsos acquired Giles' own boutique consultancy PURSUIT. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Omnicom's GSD&M Idea City, at Harris Interactive and at Wirthlin Worldwide, and he was a Reporter on the Las Cruces Sun-News.
Mike Dabadie, President and Managing Partner, comments: 'Maury has a proven approach anchored in our shared Wirthlin heritage, yet modernized for alignment with our understanding of individual and societal values in today's more integrated and digitally-connected environment. Maury has worked with many of us in the past, and we are very excited about what he can do for our clients in this space'.
