IDC Extends Leading Edge Tech Coverage
Analyst firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has announced expanded research coverage for six key technology markets or 'Innovation Accelerators': Internet of Things (IoT), Cognitive Systems, Next Gen Security, Augmented & Virtual Reality, Robotics, and 3D Printing.
The company says it believes the IT industry is entering an era characterised by 'an explosion of innovation and value creation', built on cloud, mobile, social, and big data technologies.
The expanded coverage will include six dedicated global research programs combining market research, case studies and detailed spending data and producing worldwide forecasts, vertical use cases, and leading vendor profiles along with companion spending guides. The latter will give a granular view of each market by vertical industry from a regional, industry, use case, buyer and technology perspective and will be accessible via pivot tables or a custom query format.
