Gartner Reports Third Quarter Research Revenue Rise
US-based IT industry researcher Gartner has reported an 8% increase in revenue for its Research division - to $396.2m from $365.3m in Q3 2014.
Contract value increased 11% to $1.643bn, client retention was 84% for both the third quarter of 2015 and 2014, and wallet retention was 106% in the 2015 quarter and 105% in the 2014 quarter.
Meanwhile, revenues in Gartner's Consulting arm fell 9% to $74.7m, but in the Events division they rose 26% to $29.3m.
Overall for the group, revenue was up 6% to $500.2m, net income fell 10% to $30.4m, and Normalized EBITDA rose 7% to $79.8m. CEO Gene Hall (pictured) says the company 'continues to deliver robust results', and adds: 'We achieved another quarter of double-digit CV growth and we continue to deliver strong results across our underlying metrics'.
