Affective Logic Raises Funds Via Crowdfunding Platform
UK-based marketing tech company Affective Logic has raised around £387k through a crowdfunding platform called the SyndicateRoom. Some of the money will be used to develop an SaaS version of the firm's Affect semantics-based marketing management tool.
This software incorporates elements of linguistics, psychology, human computer interaction, maths and computer science to anticipate how users think and work. Instead of using statistical analysis of historical data to derive patterns with which to make predictions, Affect looks at many things in the 'here and now' to infer what an individual might like. It can also be used as a collaboration framework, through which to source ideas and insights across the marketing process.
Affective's tools were developed in partnership with ad agencies The Martin Agency and McCann, and the latter's Senior Account Director Caroline Denham comments: 'When our clients first saw Affect, it was unlike anything they had seen before. It is so intuitive and easy, and brought everything we needed from many systems in one place. It is a brilliant concept'.
