Mobile Video MR Firm Vidlet Launches in Palo Alto
In Palo Alto, mobile video company Vidlet has emerged from 'stealth' mode, offering researchers new tools for soliciting and collecting video feedback, as well as an analysis and reporting portal.
Vidlet's platform has been developed to make it easy for brands to use mobile video for a wide range of business communication. Researchers can use the tool to send a script to the firm's app on any number of mobile devices, and within minutes receives responses directly from users in the form of short mobile videos or 'vidlets'. The online portal also offers organization, analytics, and reporting tools.
Vidlet's team comprises co-founders Doreen Lorenzo, former President of Frog Design; product designer Nate Pagel; and Kieran Farr, the former CEO and founder of video training platform Vidcaster. Former Vidcaster Board member Patricia Roller (pictured) becomes Vidlet's CEO.
Roller says of the launch: 'We created Vidlet because we were inspired by the power of video to help companies better understand their customers and employees. We want to make market research accessible to more firms, using mobile video as an efficient and cost-effective way to forge a more authentic connection between brands and their customers'.
