Data Consultancy Unveiled in NYC
In New York, a group of media, data and tech execs have officially launched Predict Ventures, a consultancy developing data products and services for the media and advertising industries.
The company, which was established in April and whose main business is Predict Consulting, already boasts a broad base - additional offices in Princeton, NJ and Toronto, Canada; five founding partners and another twenty consultants. The five are Ed Vincent (pictured), founder of e-commerce network Citystuff, Inc.and marketing solutions firm SimplyEngage - sold last year to mobile marketing specialist modomodo; T3 Media founder Chris Bryant; Jeff Marcus, former CTO of 24/7 Real Media; Allen Wyke , previously of CNN and NBCUniversal's iVillage; and Philip Kearney, digital product strategy leader at AOL, American Media and CNN.
The new firm promises to help clients orchestrate the huge range of data services and providers available on the market, including cross-device user identification; data modelling, warehousing and visualization; and TV viewer targeting, as well as DMPs.
Quoted on www.mediapost.com , Vincent comments: 'The application and activation of data today is analogous to the first wave of the web as a necessary channel for all business. And the second wave of mobile as the point of engagement. We are in the early days of the data wave and there are early adopter data-driven organizations today, but all organizations will ultimately apply data to drive business'.
