WPP's Geometry Buys CRM Firm Cacto in Mexico
WPP-owned brand activation agency Geometry Global has acquired Cacto Arte e Ideas, a digital customer relationship management company based in Mexico. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, Cacto specializes in creating CRM programs for international companies in the automotive and pharma sectors. The firm employs 40 people, and for 2015, its unaudited gross revenues will be close to MXP $30m (£1.175m).
In a statement, WPP said that the acquisition continues its strategy of investing in 'important markets and sectors' such as Mexico and Latin America, as well as in digital businesses. Collectively, WPP group companies generate revenue of $200m and employ more than 2,000 people in Mexico, whereas in Latin America, group companies return revenues of more than $1.6bn and employ over 21,000 people.
