Dentsu Aegis Buys Canadian Digital Specialist Grip
Marcoms group Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired Toronto, Canada-based agency Grip, which offers a range digital capabilities including social media, measurement, analytics, mobile, CRM and branded content creation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002, Grip now has revenues in excess of $20m, and employs more than 150 staff, who focus on strategy, branding, design and integrated campaigns. Following the acquisition, Grip will maintain its name and branding, and operate as a specialist brand within Dentsu Aegis Network Canada. Founding partner Bob Shanks (pictured) will continue to lead it, alongside Creative Partners David Crichton, David Chiavegato, Rich Pryce Jones, Randy Stein and Scott Dube.
