Dentsu Aegis Buys Brazilian Analytics Firm Navegg
Marcoms group Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired audience and behavioral data company Navegg, which is based in Curitiba, Brazil. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2008 by Luciano Juvinski and Pedro Cruz, with Adriano Brandão as Partner, Navegg analyzes navigation habits, interests and other web audience behavior on desktops and mobile devices. It also has a database of over 250 million Internet users, across more than 100,000 web sites, blogs, price search engines and eCommerce sites.
Following the deal, Navegg will continue to operate as an autonomous business unit specialising in the collection, analysis and activation of multichannel audience data, particularly in the area of programmatic. Juvinski, Navegg's current CEO and CTO, will continue to lead the company in the role of Managing Director, reporting directly to Abel Reis, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Brazil, and to Ashwini Karandikar, Global President, Amnet.
Karandikar says the buy reflects the company's view on 'the power of data' and 'significantly strengthens its ability to deliver real time audiences at scale for brand and performance advertising'. It also brings 'market leading innovation, skills and talent'.
