Partners Give Rare Patients Louder Voice
US-based data collection firm SHC Universal has announced a preferred partnership with niche therapy specialist Rare Patient Voice, gaining survey access to patients with rare and orphan diseases, as well as their caregivers.
RPV's networks give rapid access (generally within 2 weeks) to patients in more than 85 therapeutic areas, including 32,000 cancer patients and caregivers via the exclusive social health network from WhatNext.com.
SHC's, SVP New Product Development, Matt Walmsley (pictured, top) says niche patients are 'a fast growing and very important respondent type for healthcare market research' and comments: 'Wes Michael and his team at RPV have clearly demonstrated their ability to apply considerable resources and expertise not only to enter, but to lead in this major market research segment'. Michael (pictured, below), RPV's President and Founder, comments: 'Our patients cherish these opportunities to make their voices heard, and this will enable more pharmaceutical and biotech companies to hear their voice as they make important brand decisions'.
