FocusVision Buys Kinesis Survey Technologies
US research technology and services group FocusVision has acquired software firm Kinesis Survey Technologies, and renamed it KinesisPanel. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2003 by CEO Leslie Townsend, CTO Juha Vehnia and Senior Advisor Steve Lavine, Kinesis has offices in Austin, TX and London, and offers a multimode survey and panel management product suite for both mobile and desktop-based market research.
Through the acquisition, management-owned FocusVision has added online panel management capabilities to its own portfolio of qual and quant research solutions. The deal adds to FocusVision's purchase of video research solutions provider Qualvu and its qual intelligence platform 24Tru in December; and its previous acquisitions of Research Reporter developer Insight Marketing Systems; quant MR tech firm Decipher; research tool developer Revelation Global; and MR video streaming firm ActiveGroup.
Eric Grosgogeat (pictured), CEO and President of FocusVision, comments: 'The addition of KinesisPanel advances FocusVision's mission to transform the market research industry by providing the most powerful set of quantitative and qualitative research technology solutions under one roof. We are pleased to welcome KinesisPanel into the FocusVision family'.
