SITO Mobile Rolls Out Location-Based Voter Targeting
In the US, mobile engagement platform provider SITO Mobile has launched a tool to enable political parties and candidates to use mobile location-based data to target audiences such as millennials and minorities.
The new tool called 'SITO Elect' has been developed to enable campaigners to use hyperlocal targeting to reach Republican and Democrat households in key voter segments. Driven by first and third party data, voters are targeted and retargeted at specific locations through mobile location geo-targeting, then delivered ads that are customized according to their location and demographic profile.
Throughout the 2016 elections, the tool will be used for political party marketing, recruiting campaign volunteers, and election day 'get out and vote' campaigns in those neighbourhoods exhibiting lower voter turnout rates.
Jon Lowen (pictured), EVP Operations and Product Development, SITO Mobile, comments: 'A key component of SITO Elect is its Verified Walk-In (VWI) proprietary technology, which provides analytics identifying voters who have attended a party rally, event or visited any specific location. This enables a campaign to target and retarget these voters to deliver relevant, 1:1 messaging, and track election day poll walk-in to provide attribution and reporting.'
