GfK Brings NA Divisions Closer
GfK is bringing its Consumer Choices and Consumer Experiences divisions closer together in North America, and has appointed Gary Cofer as Managing Director responsible for both sectors in the region.
The divisions were formed in 2011: Consumer Choices combining the former Retail and Technology sector and the Media sector's TV, radio and print measurement businesses; and Consumer Experiences, with a focus on attitudes and behaviour, taking over from the former Custom Research business, as well as ad hoc research in the Media sector.
In North America, David Krajicek previously led the Consumer Experiences division; while Tom Dailey was in charge of the Consumer Choices sector. Krajicek is now a member of the Management Board of GfK, responsible for the North and Latin American regions, and Dailey is taking over a global leadership role in Operations. Cofer (pictured) joins with a career that has included serving as EVP, Global Retail at Catalina Marketing; EVP, Global Manufacturer Practice at dunnhumbyUSA; and VP, Customer Business Development at Procter & Gamble, where he worked for 24 years, much of it in Asia.
Under the new structure, GfK says it will be able to offer its range of services in North America in a more integrated manner. Commenting on the appointment, Krajicek said: 'With his experience, Gary is the ideal person to implement our One GfK strategy in North America and to strengthen our business'.
