Sagaci Research Opens Office in Angola
Sagaci Research has opened an office in Luanda, Angola - its second base in Portuguese speaking Africa after the opening of the Maputo, Mozambique office in 2014.
Founded in 2012 by former Boston Consulting Group execs Joao Terlica and Julien Garcier, Sagaci conducts field studies in twenty countries across the continent, and publishes reports on a range of sectors, along with details about household consumption patterns.
The new office is led by Maria Ponomareva-Stepnaya (pictured), who joins with more than twelve years' marketing and quant market research experience, gained in senior roles at Swiss fragrance and flavor house Firmenich, cosmetic brand AVON (Russia), and MR agency MASMI. The office will be staffed with a local team of researchers, who will also work with the firm's teams located across the continent.
Commenting on the launch, Terlica said: 'We believe it is the time now to establish an on-the-ground presence in Angola given how active our clients are in the country. Being one of the first international market research players active in the country is something we are proud of and we hope to be a trustful partner supporting the overall economic development in the country'.
