YouEye Acquired by UX Platform UserZoom
In the US, user experience (UX) research platform UserZoom has acquired research technology company YouEye. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2011, Mountain View, CA-based YouEye offers a platform for conducting and analyzing both quant and qual MR data. The company specializes in crowdsourced UX testing, with an emphasis on the quality of panelists, who can also participate in quantitative studies. A year ago, YouEye received an undisclosed amount of investment from GfK.
The firm has now been acquired by UserZoom, which completed a $34m financing round in the fourth quarter of 2015. CEO and co-founder Alfonso de la Nuez says the integrated UserZoom / YouEye platform will enable users to create a test, recruit crowdsourced testers, and get results within hours.
Malcolm Stewart, CEO of YouEye, adds: 'Combining our platforms empowers companies to quickly identify the biggest opportunities to improve digital products. With remote user research, behavior recognition, survey analytics, and qualitative user experience analytics, we make it easier and faster than ever to build customer-centric, amazing experiences'.
