respondi Buys House of Common Knowledge
German sample and panel provider respondi has acquired French market research, data science and IT company House of Common Knowledge (HCK). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2010, Paris-based HCK offers a community moderating methodology and platform called Debate, gathering qual feedback from participants as well as quant data from 'likes' and 'votes'. This service complements other offers such as web monitoring, creative workshops, interviews/ethnographic films, and semiotic analysis.
CEO Otto Hellwig says the buy will combine HCK's data science and insights expertise with respondi's background in digital qual and quant data collection. François Erner (pictured), HCK Managing Director, adds: 'With respondi as our new owner, we can concentrate even more on our passion; namely the development of new approaches and methods of digital research. The whole team is looking forward to the future with this unique alliance of data collectors and experts to becoming a new generation of smart panel providers'.
