Tariq Mirza Leaves FocusVision
Kinesis' European MD Tariq Mirza has left the business, following its recent takeover by US research technology and services group FocusVision. He is now looking for his next challenge.
Mirza (pictured) joined Kinesis in London in 2011, having previously led UK business development initiatives for Dutch online reporting specialist Intellex Datamanagement. Earlier, he served as MD of research software firm NEBU UK, and set up operations for MR software and computer telephony firm Voxco. He began his career with Quantime, which is now part of IBM-owned SPSS.
Following the recent acquisition of Kinesis, which is now known as KinesisPanel, the management of FocusVision say they have been unable to find a suitable leadership-level position for Mirza. In a statement, Richard Collins, MD EMEA, explained: 'During the review of senior positions at FocusVision, following the acquisition of Kinesis Survey Technologies, it was agreed with Tariq that there was not a senior position that was the right fit for him and accordingly we agreed to part ways'.
Commenting on his next career move, Mirza said: 'I am in the fortunate position that I don't have to rush into an immediate decision, so I am open to discuss any suitable opportunities. In the immediate short term, I am available for possible consultancy projects, stop-gap roles or part-time strategic roles to provide a fresh view on your organisation or workflow issues'.
