Job Cuts Expected at Compete
Around seventy staff are expected to lose their jobs at Boston-based web analyst Compete Inc., according to a statement from the company.
Compete is part of TNS, within WPP's Kantar.
Company spokesman Aaron Ethan Peterson, reported on www.bizjournals.com , said the move follows the sale of some company assets to comScore in April, itself 'part of a strategic transaction realigning market research capabilities across comScore and Kantar'. The companies struck an extensive partnership deal in February 2015.
Peterson says a number of employees were offered employment with comScore, while 'others will be moved to Compete affiliates within Kantar, and the remaining 70 are exiting the business over the course of a multi-quarter transition period'.
