Nichols Research Promotes and Expands in California

California-based full-service agency Nichols Research has promoted Grace La Mer to Vice President of Compliance, with Sami Biggs taking over her previous role as VP of Operations. The firm has also remodeled its San Francisco office, and expanded in Fresno.

Founded by the late Mimi Nichols in 1978, the company offers a full range of qual, quant, moderation, UX and national field management services from offices in San Francisco, San Jose / Sunnyvale, Fremont and Fresno. Earlier this year, it was acquired by partners Amy Shields, Michael Mermelstein and Steve Zuppas, who said they aim to 'broaden the depth and breadth' of its reputation and services.

La Mer joined the firm in 1998 as Project Manager and was then Branch Manager at the company's Fremont facility. Biggs was previously Senior Director of Marketing Research and Training, and has worked for the company for more than fifteen years. In addition to the promotions, the firm has just remodeled its San Francisco office, and added almost 2,000 square feet for call center and administrative space in Fresno.

Shields says the two promotees are 'strategic-minded team members, who are perfectly aligned with the vision set by the new partners of Nichols Research'.
