DigitalMR Hires First Chief Technology Officer
In London, tech market research company DigitalMR has appointed Maksim Sipos as its first Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the adaptation and technical delivery of its listening247 and communities247 tools, and its DIY software-as-a-service offering.
Sipos (pictured), who has a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Ithaca College and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Illinois, previously worked at a quantitative hedge fund, Edgestream Partners in Wall Street, where he developed an artificial intelligence-based system for trading equities. More recently, he founded software development and data science business k-partite, offering expertise in software architecture, big data and project management.
In his new role, Sipos will lead work on the firm's research and development efforts in online communities, and the application of machine learning to social media analytics. CEO Michalis Michael said: 'I am thrilled that Max has chosen to join DigitalMR with all the choices out there for smart people with machine learning and SaaS development experience. Already in his first week he started implementing what he calls: the Silicon Valley way in software engineering'.
