BBDO Promotes Gentile to SVP Data & Insights Role
Marcomms agency group BBDO has promoted Rosie Gentile to the role of Senior Vice President, Connections Strategy, Data and Insights in its office in Toronto, Canada. In addition, Paul Reilly has been named Chief Operating Officer.
Omnicom Group-owned BBDO employs more than 15,000 people in 289 offices across 81 countries. Gentile (pictured) joined last October, having previously worked for BBDO's digitally focused direct marketing arm Proximity (absorbed by BBDO last year), where she served as VP, Integrated Strategy & Insights. Prior to this, she worked for BIMM Direct & Digital, MacLaren MRM, henderson bas, Cossetted, and GCB Direct, after working client-side at Visa and Bank of Montreal.
In a statement, BBDO said Gentile's promotion 'recognizes the central part that connections strategy and data intelligence now play in BBDO's content creation'.
Former EVP, Executive MD Reilly, who has been with BBDO for eleven years and in the industry for 20 years, will now oversee daily operations at the agency. President and CEO Dom Caruso comments: 'Over the past year, we've made a number of moves to keep us at the front of the ever-evolving changes taking place in our industry. For example, we've added capabilities in video content and data-driven strategy. Paul and Rosie are key leaders who have been helping drive that change.'
