GfK's Pam Armstrong Becomes Opinion Leader / CIE MD

In London, Chime Insight & Engagement Group (CIE) has hired long-time GfK exec Pam Armstrong for the newly created role of Managing Director of its Opinion Leader and Chime Insight & Engagement businesses.

The CIE group includes digital specialist Watermelon, qual recruitment arm CherryPicked, fieldwork agency Facts International and full service agencies Opinion Leader and CIE. Armstrong (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' industry experience. Most recently, she was GfK's UK MD of Brand and Customer Experience (BaCE), leading a team of more than 100 execs. Earlier, she held senior positions, including UK MD of Consumer & Retail, and UK Deputy MD of Consumer & Retail. Armstrong was also a member of GfK UK's Management Board and a key member of the firm's Global Retail Management team, leading one of the agency's key retail accounts for more than ten years.

The new role has been created to support the group's growth and need for a bigger Board.
