SMG Hires Head of Consumer Insight
YouGov-owned sports and sponsorship specialist SMG Insight has appointed former Sodexo exec Sara Eddleston as Head of Consumer Insight.
SMG Insight was launched by former Comperio Research VP Frank Saez in 2010, and later that year YouGov acquired a minority stake in the firm, which then moved into YouGov's office in London. Eddleston (pictured) joins from French food services and facilities management company Sodexo, where she served as Consumer Insight Manager, with a particular focus on the sport segment, with clients including Royal Ascot, the R&A and Everton Football Club. Before this, she held senior roles at Superdrug, Ipsos, TNS, Canadean, and Carberry Group.
Commenting on the appointment, Saez said: 'Following several senior appointments to our leadership team over the last twelve months, Sara's post is further indication of SMG Insight's rapid global expansion as we build on our solid track record of in-depth consultancy and leading-edge media and consumer research techniques.
