Three New Leaders for Simmons
In New York, consumer insights firm Simmons Research has strengthened its leadership team, adding former comScore SVP Steven Millman as Chief Scientist, Alan Resneck as CFO and Pyeush Gurha as CTO.
TRA co-founder and media researcher Bill Harvey has also been appointed, as a Strategic Consultant.
Founded in 1952 by Willard Simmons as Simmons Market Research Bureau, and now owned by Symphony Technology, the firm measures consumer preferences, attitudes, and media behavior by overlaying survey and passive data using advanced measurement sciences. Millman (pictured) joins from comScore, where as SVP for Survey, Research and Modeling, he led a team of more than 50. Before this, he was the firm-wide Lead for Opinion Research at Booz Allen Hamilton, and Lead Quantitative Researcher for Healthcare at BearingPoint (now Deloitte). In his new role, he is responsible for statistics, analytics and measurement services, while overseeing the Measurement Science team. On the Senior Leadership Team he will help guide measurement vision, product strategy, and data quality initiatives across the firm.
Resneck joins with more than 25 years' experience in finance and accounting, most recently as CFO at pharma industry primary research firm AlphaImpactRx (sold to IMS Health). Gurha previously served as CTO of Symphony Advanced Media, overseeing the development and commercialization of a passive cross-media technology and cloud-based analytic platform.
President and Chief Research Officer Pat Pellegrini comments: 'Simmons is poised to deliver on a measurement vision that will provide the leading consumer and media analytics in the US. These additions to our senior leadership team are all collaborative, operationally decisive, and committed to advancing our vision. I am pleased and humbled to have such talented people, who strongly share and believe in our vision, now executing on it'.
