Image Tech Firm GumGum Names President / COO

In the UK, image recognition technology developer GumGum has promoted Phil Schraeder to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer, with a focus on maintaining and building strategic brand and publisher relationships.

GumGum's in-image ad technology delivers ad campaigns to more than 400 million users as they view pictures and content across more than 2,000 premium publishers. The company also offers 'GumGum Visual Intelligence', a real-time visual listening platform, designed to help brands identify and activate online pictures relevant to them, while engaging their top influencers on social media.

Schraeder (pictured) joined the firm as VP, Finance in 2011 and most recently served as COO and CFO. Prior to this, he held senior financial management roles at RealD, Verifi, Veoh Networks, Gameworks, and KPMG. In his new role, Schraeder will also lead GumGum's sales division.
