Accenture Invests in Shopper Specialist RichRelevance
Global consultancy Accenture has taken a minority stake in shopper marketing platform RichRelevance, building on an existing strategic partnership.
RichRelevance is focused on 'omnichannel personalization', combining CRM, customer experience and purchase recommendations, and already has Dell as a shareholder, in addition to VC partners, reports www.mediapost.com . Three years ago, it acquired Boulder, Colorado-based big data company Precog.
The latest deal will boost digital agency division Accenture Interactive, which will become the 'preferred implementation partner' for RichRelevance's global personalization platform. Eduardo Sanchez, President and CEO of the latter firm, says Accenture's expertise will provide clients with the knowhow to implement its platform successfully.
Jeriad Zoghby, Personalization Lead at Accenture Interactive, says his division's recently launched 'customer genome' platform, which aims to understand purchasing behavior, will be the focus of joint development in the expanded alliance with RichRelevance.
