Cicero Group Names New CEO
US-based data analysis and consulting firm Cicero Group has promoted President and COO Trent Kaufman to the role of Chief Executive Officer, succeeding company founder Randy Shumway.
 Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Cicero Group captures and analyzes internal, secondary and primary data about clients' customers, competitors and potential new opportunities. Kaufman (pictured) takes up his new role on January 1st, having served as the firm's President and COO since 2007, when it acquired his change leadership consulting firm Education Direction.
Shumway will continue as Chairman of the Board, while being responsible for new business development and community engagement. He says of Kaufman's appointment: 'I fervently believe that periodic, structured change in leadership can be remarkably powerful in propelling innovative new ideas and driving organizations to new heights. Trent will lead Cicero to unprecedented levels of success. He is a visionary and incisive leader.
