Shopper Media Group Opens Research Data Division
In Australia, digital out-of-home business Shopper Media Group has launched a new research data division making use of its network of 'Smartlite' digital panels installed in more than 150 shopping centres across the country.
The HD screens are equipped with beacon technology, webcam and intelligent WiFi analytics. Shopper Data Group will combine captured behavioural data with bespoke research capabilities, helping clients with the creation of campaigns and with audience targeting, according to www.mumbrella.com.au , with a minimum of 6,000 consumers answering individual questions, and analysis by by age, state and gender, in real time.
Ben Walker, who is CEO of both the parent company and new division, says the latter will have access to more than 60,000 unique consumers every day. He comments: 'Brands and companies want to know how and why consumers make certain purchasing decisions and Shopper Data Group will ask those questions as close to, if not during, the actual decision making process'.
