Xaxis Promotes Bidon to Global President
WPP's audience profiling and targeting division Xaxis has promoted Nicolas Bidon to the role of Global President.
Xaxis was formed in 2011, promising to bring together WPP's ad buying capabilities with a colossal database to offer clients 'the world's largest pool of audience profiles'. Bidon (pictured) joined as London-based MD in 2012, and after serving as Global CEO of the firm's digital ad targeting business plista, was promoted to the role of CEO, EMEA, leading Xaxis operations across the company's 25 markets in the region, including helping to drive growth for its specialist companies Light Reaction, Bannerconnect and plista. Earlier in his career, Bidon held senior business development roles at Yahoo! and Watchfire (acquired by IBM Software).
In his new role, Bidon takes over from Brian Gleason, who has moved to Group M's [m]PLATFORM as Global CEO. Commenting on the changes, Gleason said: 'Nicolas has played an integral role in the Xaxis success story over the past four years and we are pleased to welcome his leadership as Global President. His extensive knowledge of the Xaxis business, proven leadership ability and experience developing and launching new programmatic products across global markets makes him an ideal choice for the position'.
