Chopra's New Firm nuaxia Closes Seed Funding Round

Former Synovate UK CEO Peter Chopra is opening a new business called nuaxia, offering market research, marketing services, recruitment, and information services to the healthcare sector. The firm has already closed a £1m seed round of funding.

Chopra (pictured) previously served as CEO of pharma services group P\S\L and its healthcare fieldwork services arm Medefield. Prior to this he was a Partner at online community specialist Verve, and he was CEO at Synovate UK, having previously been the company's Chief Financial Officer.

The new funding will be used to finance the firm's technology platform, develop its proprietary databases, and provide working capital for its launch and initial trading activities. Commenting on the news, Chopra said: 'I am very excited that we have successfully completed our fundraising exercise. We have been working on the development of this new business for more than a year and it is fantastic to be so close to our official launch'.
