SteelHouse Launches 'No Cost' Viewability Measure
Los Angeles-based ad software firm SteelHouse has launched a tool called Verified Visits, to enable advertisers to meet IAB and MRC viewability requirements at 'no cost'.
SteelHouse's Advertising Suite enables brands to run retargeting and prospecting campaigns through display, mobile and social media; and its technology also offers behavioral targeting and online targeting analytics. The new tool offers an attribution model providing a holistic view of those customers who click and those who don't click. Verified Visits' free viewability metrics combine both views and clicks, and only ads that are verified viewable will be tied to performance, while 'unviewed' ads are tracked separately in the reporting suite.
President and CEO Mark Douglas (pictured) comments: 'You shouldn't have to pay to know someone saw your ad, it's as simple as that. We're giving advertisers the tools to know their spend is being used the right way, and their ads are actually getting in front of their audience. If you're going to double the cost to serve an ad, you should get double the transparency - it should be available to everyone, and it should be available for free'.
