Ogilvy & Mather Takes Stake in Irish Agency
WPP company Ogilvy & Mather has acquired an undisclosed stake in its Irish digital partner Eightytwenty Customer Experience, which includes customer journey and ideation specialist Black and Lime.
Based in Dublin, Eightytwenty employs over 30 people and offers a proprietary model combining creative, data, performance media and technology to design and deliver campaigns. Black and Lime, whose senior team and associates include research and strategy veterans, bills itself as 'a lean & accelerated digital transformation practice', with an offer including 'identifying and closing the gaps in an enterprise's customer experience', plus 'ideation, rapid prototyping and optimised customer journeys'.
Ogilvy & Mather has been working with Eightytwenty since 2015, and WPP says the buy will bring 'new capabilities in creative, digital performance and technology' to the division's local and international clients. The marcoms giant currently generates 0.4% of its global revenues in Ireland.
