CoreLogic CEO Anand Nallathambi Dies
Frank Martell has been named President and CEO of property information and analytics provider CoreLogic, following the unexpected death of Anand Nallathambi on March 2nd after a brief illness. He was 55 years of age.
Nallathambi (pictured) led the company from its inception in June 2010, following its spinoff from First American Finance Corp. Before this, he held various executive leadership positions at First Advantage Corporation and First American Corporation. He earned an Economics degree from Loyola University in Madras in his native India, before locating to the US at the age of twenty to study for his master's degree in Business Administration from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. Outside work, he volunteered for many organizations including the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, Operation HOPE, and the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton. Board Chairman Paul Folino commented: 'On behalf of the CoreLogic Board of Directors and our employees, it is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Anand Nallathambi. Anand was an outstanding leader, and we will miss his many talents, energy and can-do spirit. Our thoughts are with Anand's family and friends'.
Martell, who joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer in 2011 and became Chief Operating Officer in 2014, has been named as Nallathambi's successor. He previously spent eleven years at ACNielsen, rising to COO, and fifteen years in a variety of financial leadership roles at the General Electric Company. Before CoreLogic, Martell was President and CEO of medical and regulatory assessor the Western Institutional Review Board (WIRB), after spells as CFO of Advantage Sales and Marketing, and EVP and CFO of Information Services Group - the shell company set up by his former Nielsen boss Michael Connors.
Commenting on the appointment, Folino added: 'Mr. Martell worked closely alongside Mr. Nallathambi for the past six years, as the company executed an aggressive growth strategy to transform CoreLogic into a global leader in residential property-related data-driven insights in the US, Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Martell is well-known and respected by the company's employees, clients and investors, and I believe his intimate knowledge and extensive experience with the company make him uniquely qualified to lead the business'.
