Analytics Platform Piwik PRO Raises Development Funds
Wroclaw, Poland-based analytics platform Piwik PRO has raised $2m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to accelerate development of its solution. This includes web and mobile analytics, a data management platform, tag management and content personalization.
Founded by full service ad and marketing tech software developer Clearcode in 2013, Piwik PRO's platform can be deployed in both on-premises and cloud versions, with each ensuring partners retain full data ownership. Its new funding round has been led by Warsaw Equity Group, with additional private investment from Tim Schumacher, co-founder and former CEO of domain marketplace Sedo.com and Chairman of Eyeo, the company behind ad blocking extension Adblock Plus. Piwik PRO will also use the funds to support marketing and sales efforts.
CEO and co-founder Maciej Zawadzinski (pictured) comments: 'Over the years, we've seen great traction with enterprises using our on-premises enterprise web analytics product. This has created an enormous opportunity, and the financing will allow us to allocate additional resources to execute our vision and product development'.
