Product Development Consultancy Launches
In the UK, former FreshMinds Head of Digital Innovation Chris Leo has launched a digital product consultancy, Pivot.
Leo has six years' experience in insight and innovation roles, beginning with two and a half in analyst roles at Ipsos, and followed up with spells of just over a year apiece at Vision Critical, Verve and FreshMinds.
Pivot focuses on speed of service, promising to 'pinpoint user pain, solve it quickly and measure results in two weeks'. Leo, who won Google's 'Start Up Weekend' in September last year, and returned two months later to mentor others at the same event, says the experience served as inspiration for the company's launch: 'Mentoring these young, brilliant people was a fantastic feeling. It taught me a lot. One big lesson was that user-centred design and rapid testing are going to play a huge part in the future of product development'.
Product teams are expanding to meet growing demand for digital products, says Leo, and these need to balance 'speed with robustness'. He adds: 'Pivot will be at the forefront of helping product people validate and iterate at sprint speed'.
