Growth Funds for MR Software Firm Remesh
MR software firm Remesh has raised $2.25m in a seed funding round, and will use it to further develop its artificial intelligence technology and expand its development and research teams.
Founded in 2014 by a team of ex-Googlers, academics, physicists, consultants and political operatives, New York-based Remesh has developed a survey tool that uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing to gather, filter and rank the collective opinion of crowds in a conversational format. Its new funding has been led by LionBird Ventures, with participation from Reimagine Holdings Group, which focuses on developing consumer insights and marketing services companies, and a group of individual investors. The latest investment, which follows and earlier $1.6m of pre-seed funding, brings the total raised to date to more than $3.85m.
CEO and co-founder Andrew Konya (pictured) comments: 'We believe that accurately understanding what people want and need at a global scale is one of the keys to thriving in a continually connected world. I am thrilled to continue leveraging the latest advancements in AI to address this important problem. In addition to delivering the deepest qualitative insights validated by quantitative scale, we're investing in top research talent to better serve our clients'.
