GfK Names Regional Health Leaders

GfK's global Health practice has appointed Pankaj Thapar as Industry Lead for North America, while Jan Güse will move to a similar leadership role in the Germany / Switzerland region.

Thapar joins from Quintiles/IMS Health, where he served as Senior Principal for the past year; and prior to this he held senior roles at AlphalmpactRx, AlphaDetail and ZS Associates. He is a trained physician who practiced medicine in India before switching to a career in research and consulting. In his new role, Thapar will be based on the West Coast, in GfK's Bay Area offices in San Francisco and Sunnyvale, CA.

Güse joined the firm in 2008 as MD, Netherlands, and most recently served as Head of Data Analytics and Research Innovation. Earlier, he held sales, marketing and market research roles at Roche and Eli Lilly in the Netherlands. He will take up his new post on May 1st.
