Wunderman Buys Spanish Firm The Cocktail
WPP agency Wunderman has acquired digital transformation consultancy The Cocktail, based in Spain.
The Cocktail helps clients with digital transformation, integrating strategy development, design, technology and data and analytics, and was established in Madrid in 2003. It now has offices in Mexico and Colombia, employs over 250 people and works for clients including El Corte Inglés, BBVA and Real Madrid. Unaudited revenues for the year ended 31st December 2016 were EUR 16.4 million.
Breaking from its tradition of boiler plate statements about acquisition motives, WPP said the buy strengthens Wunderman's ability to deliver marketing and technology consulting services in Europe and Latin America, and specifically boosts its offering in Spain.
