comScore Strengthens Board with Five New Members

comScore has expanded its Board of Directors from seven people to twelve. The new arrivals are Lisa Gersh, Joshua Peirez, Mark Harris, Jacques Kerrest and Susan Riley.

The appointments follow a troubled year. Shares in the firm plunged 35% one day in March 2016 on the revelation of an audit which was set up to examine accounting irregularities. The company then reported in the audit that its previous three years' financial statements 'should no longer be relied upon'. During the year, the firm also lost its co-founder and Executive Chair Magid Abraham; as well as Chair Joan Lewis, Chair of the Board's Nominating and Governance Committee Patricia Gottesman, and former CEO Serge Matta, who all resigned from their roles.

Gersh most recently served as CEO of Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle web site Goop, having previously been CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia; and President of Strategic Initiatives for NBCUniversal. Peirez is currently the President and COO of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, before which he spent ten years at MasterCard.

The other three new Board members come from financial backgrounds - Harris is currently the CFO of Hercules Capital; Kerrest is EVP and CFO of satellite service provider Intelsat; and Riley previously worked as CFO for Eastern Outfitters, The Children's Place, Klinger Advanced Aesthetics, Abercrombie & Fitch, and The Dial Corporation.
