Nielsen Launches Mobile Measure for YouTube Ads
Nielsen has begun measuring ads on YouTube's mobile app, within its Digital Ad Ratings service, completing its cross-device coverage of YouTube viewing. For the moment, the service is available only in the US.
Nielsen already measures YouTube ads on desktop and mobile web browsers, but will now be able to provide 'independent and comprehensive cross-device measurement' of ad audiences on YouTube. Users will get age and gender demographics for consumers viewing ads, and reach, frequency and gross rating points (GRPs).
SVP Digital Product Leadership David Wong comments: 'As more people watch video across digital platforms and devices, Nielsen's comprehensive measurement of YouTube through Digital Ad Ratings is crucial to provide a complete picture of media consumption'.
