NPD Group Launches US Apparel Trend Tracker
Retail information provider The NPD Group has launched a new platform to help clients track and understand apparel trends. Trend Tracker takes the form of a microsite comprising dashboards, insight reports, curated news and analyst expertise on the sector.
The service gives a monthly summary of key trends from NPD's Consumer Tracking Service, Retail Tracking Service (point-of-sale), and its receipt-harvesting service Checkout Tracking - along with expert opinion. Users can also access data from NPD's strategic partner Stylitics , which collects data directly from customers on the items in their closets and reports on topics including 'emerging brands, color trends, top outfit pairings and celebrity influences'. Results from another strategic partners, CivicScience, will also be available, covering weekly online consumer polling questions.
