New Leader for Restaurant Data Firm Fishbowl
Fishbowl, a customer engagement platform provider for the restaurant sector and now a part of Symphony Technology Group (STG), has named Jim Soss as CEO.
Palo Alto, CA-based Symphony acquired Fishbowl in January this year, and already owns research firms Hitwise and Simmons.
Soss has more than twenty years' experience in digital marketing, big data and analytics, having served as SVP and General Manager for Responsys at the time of its $1.5bn acquisition by Oracle; and CEO of data management and technology company Red Aril, acquired by Hearst. He has also worked at digital marketing and data companies Acxiom, Infogroup and YuMe. He holds a BS from Princeton University and a MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Fishbowl counts more than 70,000 restaurant locations among its users, helping them to understand and engage their customers. The firm is headquartered in Alexandria, VA, with offices in Silicon Valley, Dallas, New York, the UK and India.
