Former Salesforce COO to Head Up Selligent

In Belgium, relationship marketing solutions specialist Selligent has appointed former Salesforce COO John Hernandez as Chief Executive Officer, replacing founder Andre Lejeune who will remain on the Board of Directors.

The firm's technology analyses customer data and helps with consumer profiling, contextual personalization, campaign management and measurement. Hernandez (pictured) joins from Salesforce, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and SVP Service Cloud. Before this, he was VP and General Manager of IBM's collaboration business; and he worked for technology conglomerate Cisco as VP and General Manager, tasked with creating the company's Customer Collaboration Strategy. Earlier, he worked for telecoms giant Nortel as Senior Product Manager.

In his new role, Hernandez will guide the firm through further product innovation and acquisition.
