New MD for IDC Australia and New Zealand
IT intelligence, advisory services and events specialist IDC has appointed Iggy Pintado as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand. He replaces Ullrich Loeffler, who is 'pursuing other interests'.
IDC (International Data Corporation) provides services to clients in the IT, telecoms and consumer technology markets, reporting on industry trends in over 110 countries through more than 1,100 analysts worldwide. The firm is a wholly-owned subsidiary of media, data and marketing services provider International Data Group (IDG), which was acquired by investment company China Oceanwide Holdings last year.
Pintado (pictured) joins from business analytics software and services firm SAS, where he served as Head of Marketing for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, he held senior management and executive positions in enterprise sales, marketing, digital management, communications and business operations at IBM, Telstra, UXC Connect and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
In his new role, Pintado will promote the local team of industry analysts and consultants in Australia and New Zealand. He will report directly to IDC Asia Pacific's MD, Eva Au, who comments: 'Iggy will lead IDC's unrivalled global coverage with regional and local presence, knowledge, expertise and support in Australia and New Zealand to deliver insightful analysis and credible forecasts to help customers deliver sound business strategies'.
