JT Turner Moves delineate Into Marcoms Space
James 'JT' Turner has moved his London and Manchester-based research and insights agency delineate into the marketing and communications space, to provide marcoms professionals with a proprietary approach for developing and testing research-based campaigns.
Last year, Turner (pictured) was brought in by predictive analytics specialist Black Swan Data, to establish a new Insights division. Before this, he worked for marcoms group Edelman Berland where he served as COO, Europe & CIS, having previously set up the UK office and served as its MD. Earlier, he held senior management positions at ICM, FreshMinds, Populus and BT; and more recently, Turner and political and behavioural data scientist Zsolt Kiss launched a polling business called opinion.life.
Also launched last year, his firm delineate offers a model which draws on Turner's twenty years in the research and communications industries, to provide insights which help brands 'land great campaigns'. His team already includes six consultants: Darren Cooper, Helen Bennie, Tony Laverty and Simon and Jonny Arrowsmith. Commenting on the latest news, Turner explained: 'Brands, communicators and marketers want decent, honest and usable insights. This means agencies need to produce well researched, innovative campaigns that are based on human truths, as opposed to untested hunches and third-party data. Most research is still overly complicated, slow, and costly. That's where delineate comes in.'
